S. Mark Haywood

Dr. S. Mark Haywood serves as president of The Institute for Theological Studies (ITS). He also serves as pastor and founder of God’s Household of Faith, a local church located in Dickinson, Texas. Formally, Dr. Haywood served as Vice President of Student Affairs and Services, Dean of Students, and Assistant Professor at the College of Biblical Studies (CBS) in Houston, Texas. Students lovingly refer to him as “Dean.” Pastor Haywood holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in social welfare from San Francisco State University, a Master of Theology degree in pastoral ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), and a Juris Doctor degree in law from John F. Kennedy University.

In addition to his educational accomplishments, Dr. Haywood currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Denver Seminary, was a finalist for the preaching award while a student at DTS, received the 2003 Apostle Paul Award for faithful service to God and His people, and was honored as Father of the Year for 2004, as a Christian Man who loves the Lord.
Pastor Haywood and his lovely wife Jackie have three sons (Erick, Cameron, and Mark II) and one daughter (Jacquel). He believes his ministry gift is sharing the Scriptures with God’s people. God has sent him forward to exercise his gift through teaching and preaching biblical truths.


 

Vice President & Dean of Student Services
Blake Wilson

Blake Wilson serves as Dean of Students at The Institute for Theological Studies (ITS). After a seven year “career” in corporate America, Blake was influenced by his pastor, Rev. Bill Lawson, at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, to turn from climbing the corporate ladder to learning, loving, and serving Jesus Christ.

Blake earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Southwest Texas State University, and his Master of Arts in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Blake has served in Youth Ministry since 1994. He was formerly the co-director of The Center for Youth Ministry at the College of Biblical Studies where he taught for seven years. Currently he is the pastor of Crossover Bible Fellowship in Houston, Texas. Additionally, he has been heavily involved in curriculum development for youth and family life ministries, and Blake is well known for his class entitled The Biblical View of Sex – which he has taught to NBA players of the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. Blake shares his gifts and talents at student camps and retreats with Allan Houston and Charlie Ward, former NBA players.

Blake is married to Dr. Ronique Wilson who has partnered with Blake in ministry since 1994. Blake and Ronique have two children, a daughter, Reagan Faith Abrielle Wilson and a son, Robert Chance Priest Wilson. They reside in Houston, Texas.

S. Mark Haywood II currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Institute for Theological Studies (ITS). At the age of 6-years-old God revealed to Mark that he had a divine calling on his life, and at the age of 10-years-old Mark became saved. Nearly two decades later, Mark formally accepted his calling to the ministry.

S. Mark Haywood II graduated from Clear Lake High School in Houston, TX in 1999 on the “Advanced with Honors” program and earned recognition as a National Merit Scholar. He went on to earn two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Africana Studies from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc in 2000 and graduated in 2004. Subsequently, Mark earned a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in Houston, TX and a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA in 2009.

Mark serves as Youth Pastor for God’s Household of Faith in Dickinson, TX mentoring young believers ages 13-18 to become “Grounded in the Word, and Ready for the World.” He is a co-founder of H&H Praise Ministries, in which he has taught, promoted, and spread the Gospel through the pantomime art form since 1996. Currently, as VP & CFO of ITS, he utilizes his budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis skills to aide ITS as they fulfill their mission to educate the body of Christ.
